Different materials were examined in regard to possible CNC manufacturing at the fabrication facilities available. In addition there was close contact with external production companies. All research results were systematically collected and evaluated in a material data base. The data made important preliminary studies for the development of the construction principles possible. Parallel to the programming, various principles of construction were developed and tested. Concerning the construction, the aim was to develop a structural system capable of building a completely irregular spatial structure and which could be processed on the available CNC machines.
